Brenden Ponder
Attorney
Brenden E. Ponder is an associate attorney whose practice focuses on product liability claims, long-term care providers, and clients in general liability matters. Brenden uses his experience as a former teacher and leadership skills to educate and guide his clients throughout the legal process.
Brenden earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in 2024, where he was a two-year member of Law Review and served on the editorial board his 3L year as a Senior Articles Editor. As a Senior Articles Editor, he led a team of 1st-year members in editing academic articles and citations written by leading professionals in their fields of legal study. He was also an active member of the Federalist Society, holding different board positions, including treasurer (2021-22) and secretary (2023-24). In addition, he was a part of the inaugural Brandeis Leadership Initiative, where he learned and developed skills to be a strong leader. Brenden also completed an externship with former Metro Council Member Cassie Chambers Armstrong, where he got to see firsthand the process of local government.
Before law school, Brenden earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a minor in Political Science from Indiana University Southeast in 2018. Brenden then completed a transition to a teaching program at Indiana University Southeast. After completion of this program, he taught 6th Grade Social Studies with Jefferson County Public Schools from 2019 to 2021.
He is admitted to practice in Kentucky and Indiana. He is a member of the Kentucky and Indiana Bar Associations, Kentucky Defense Counsel, and the Federalist Society.
